Madrid (19/08/14).-
SAPEC (F90, Hall 1) will be launching its latest range of high-end encoders and decoders in IBC 2014 on booth F90 in Hall 1, in a new space within the fair compared to previous years (F90 in Hall 1).
The IBC becomes the ideal place for the European presentation of the new Real Time Encoder and Decoder HEVC, available at end of year, , devices with the new ITU-H.265 standard implementation who will be 100% operational for demos within the new SAPEC stand in Hall 1 (booth F90).
These equipment have already been tested and analyzed by several customers and will be available commercially before the end of the year.
Among the main features of this new real-time HEVC Encoder – Decoder, we emphasize that it is the first generation of codecs with main profile ITU H.265 SAPEC HEVC. They are devices that have a lower bit rate to achieve the same quality of video by reducing the OPEX customer (operational cost of exploitation).
The devices are equipped with HD-SDI inputs and outputs, video over IP with FEC (Forward Error Connection), supporting resolutions of 1080i, 720 p, 625i and 525i. The audio encoding supports MPEG1-LII, AAC and Dolby Digital (as an option). It’s a device with 1RU chassis , AC/DC power supply with possibility of redundancy and it is designed for large broadcasters and telcos worldwide.
It is easy to integrate, configure and use, and it supports the internal management of n + 1 redundancy, and remote managing and update through WEB/SNMP.
Family of encoders and IRD GREDOS
SAPEC goes to Amsterdam with the GREDOS family: professional encoders and IRD for transport of video over satellite, now with the new DVB-S/S2 modulator.
These devices have video MPEG2 and H.264 profiles Main, High, and H422P encoding, and featuring DVB-S/S2 modulation within the same chassis. All coding algorithms have the same quality as the Altum II family, plus the DVB-S2 modulator incorporated.
The main feature of these machines is the integration of the Encoder and the modulator in a single 1RU rack. Notice that the DVB-S/S2 modulator has advanced 32APSK modulation with a Roll-off up to 0.05% . In addition, this fourth-generation encoder supports HDTV (or SDTV) as well as MPEG2 or H.264, including 422 profiles, and it has simultaneous outputs ASI and Ethernet and L band.
Among the features of the Receptors – Decoders (complete IRD), we emphasize that it has inputs in band L, Ethernet and ASI, it supports MPEG2 or H.264, including 422 profiles, and it allows management of redundancy between inputs, as well as forwarding signal by Ethernet.
New generation of codecs HD ALTUM II
The Altum II are designed to offer a high-quality video distribution and they also include now the Digital protection of Video DVP of VideoFlow (see previous press release). This protection ensures the highest quality within any streaming video live over unmanaged networks, as it is an Internet connection.
The key of the DVP is that it is independent of the technology of video compression that is used, so it is easy to implement with any type of encoder or decoder. The AVC Main High H422P profiles have a lower latency, lower consumption, more functionality, and lower cost. Among the main features, the new devices have an interface ASI and IP with FEC (forward Error connection); Internal management of N + 1 redundancy; AC/DC Power supply with possibility of redundancy; remote Managing and updating through WEB/SNMP; The SD models are upgradable to HD at any time; They greatly improve compression algorithms (lower bit-rate, but same quality of image); They are committed to an environmental commitment improving the energy efficiency (reducing consumption by 30%); they have a redundancy n + 1 without external managers and with a by-pass of the signal received by the deco to another destination.
Jose Manuel Lopez, Sales Manager SAPEC
José Manuel López, Sales Manager of SAPEC, is very proud and extremely satisfied with these new products that they are going to show in IBC in Amsterdam, “we attend the European broadcast meeting in the best conditions to make the fair a resounding success. Our commitment, expertise and professionalism ratify us. We are making a leap of important image; along with new partners and new agreements for international collaboration; and with a new stand in a new location in Hall 1, stand F90. There we will show our constant commitment to R+D and continuous technological evolution; the new codecs HEVC that some of our customers are already testing with great success; and our amazing new range of encoders and decoders high-end, among many other innovations.”
