SAPEC brings together employees, former collaborators, and shareholders at an institutional gathering for its 50th Anniversary
Madrid, March 31, 2026 – SAPEC, a company specialized in the design and development of technological solutions for professional video signal transport, recently organized an institutional luncheon to commemorate its 50 years of history in the Broadcast and Telecommunications sector. The event, held in Madrid, aimed primarily to recognize the collective effort of the people who have been part of the company’s evolution since its founding in 1976.
The day served as a meeting point for different generations of professionals. The entire current staff attended the luncheon, accompanied by a large group of former employees who played key roles during previous stages of the company. The event also welcomed personnel from Brotelec, SAPEC’s subsidiary in Mexico, reinforcing the connection between the headquarters and its international operations in the Latin American market. Institutional representation was completed with the attendance of several board members and shareholders, who shared with the team SAPEC’s technical and strategic vision.
During the event, participants highlighted the importance of maintaining constant activity in such a fast-changing market as the audiovisual industry, where SAPEC has evolved from its early developments to its current platforms, such as the Laguna family and the Sivac-One systems. The exchange of experiences between sector veterans and new team members showcased the technical culture and accumulated knowledge built over five decades of service to broadcasters and network operators.
This fellowship luncheon marks the beginning of a calendar of commemorative events. SAPEC’s management stated that this is only the first in a series of special activities planned for the 50th Anniversary, which will be publicly announced in the coming months in order to also involve technology partners, distributors, and international customers.
