SAPEC has contributed in all UHDTV demonstrations that have been made so far in Spain: Mobile World Congress, DVB World Meeting, day 4K of Canal + and San Sebastian Festival where TVE presented the documentary The Prado Museum.
Madrid, April 1, 2014.
In all, the content displayed on the screens went through a coding, SAPEC-made. In principle, all made in H.264, but already in San Sebastian was the new encoder / decoder HEVC, recently presented at NAB in Las Vegas. SAPEC has a high Know How in all part of coding, and is therefore able to offer the customer not only the added value of the product but this know-how based on experience. According to Miguel Angel Cristóbal, CEO, Sapec, “we don’t sell boxes, we sell solutions. We like to know where will be using the equipment, what environment will have. Many customers in fact when they have to solve something, count on us so we give them alternatives and solutions. From the point of view of the pre-sales, we have a cache of engineers rather than pure selling boxes.” Sapec also offers integration, engineering, commissioning and support, “one thing that characterizes us is that so far we have not said no to a possible adaptation or need.” And it is that being a small company allows us to be more dynamic, and that is what has allowed us to continue to count on customers as Telefónica, TVE, the EBU and a long etcetera”, says Miguel Angel Cristóbal.
