Madrid (13/01/17).-
OVERON has placed their trust in SAPEC, acquiring the Ultra High Definition (UHD) /4K AVANTOS decoders, a new range of 4K decoders manufactured by SAPEC.
OVERON plans to use the SAPEC AVANTOS UHD decoders for the distribution of sports signals in UHD/4K format. AVANTOS allows for the decoding of 4K signals, received via IP interface, in HEVC 4:2:0 or 4:2:2 profiles.
When it came to equipment selection, OVERON carried out an exhaustive series of tests, which were passed with flying colors by the SAPEC AVANTOS UHD. Among the most notable characteristics are the fidelity of the SAPEC decoder, as well as its compatibility with different devices on the market.
AVANTOS has already been used in live broadcasts of several Spanish Liga games, including the classic encounter between Real Madrid and Barcelona. It allows the signal to be carried to different OVERON clients both within Spain as well as in other countries, for broadcast on various different platforms.
OVERON, which forms part of the Mediapro group, distributes countless signals all around the world, in particular sporting events where Mediapro holds the broadcasting rights.
SAPEC, a well-recognized Spanish manufacturer of coders and decoders, launched the AVANTOS UHD/4K with IP interface to the market several weeks ago, becoming one of the first companies to launch this type of system.
