Evva EVVA is an audio encoder and multiplexer designed and manufactured by SAPEC for simultaneous transmission and reception of up to 20 compressed audio channel over a 2Mbps PDH (E1) carrier. EVVA is a modular and user-configurable equipment. EVVA is a 19'' wide, 4 RU high and 250mm deep chassis. All the cards making up the system are pluggable into the chassis. The key elements of EVVA are: * Power Supply Unit, with redundant supply option * Control Unit: it manages the whole system and stores configuration data and eventual alarms * Framing Unit: it allows to handle two bi-directional and simultaneous E1 frames * Configuration Software: It allows to set up the different operation modes In addition, the equipment may include up to 10 channel units, each supporting two channels: * Compression Unit for voice, audio (PCM J.41). * Decompression Unit for voice, audio (PCM J.41). EVVA includes optical alarm indicators enabling to monitor the proper operation or the eventual alarms occurring in the related channel unit. |
